Police invesigated Mid Staffordshire Hospital regarding 300 deaths
Professor Jane Somerville, who established the first adolescent cardiology ward at the National Heart Hospital in London in 1995, tells this morning’s Desert Island Discs (Radio 4, 11.15am) that “interfering” managers wrecked the health service she once loved.
Now 80 and retired, she adds: “I think this erratic care…I think Staffordshire is not alone.”
Interfering managers wrecked the health service
Up to 1,200 people may have died needlessly at Mid Staffordshire Hospital between 2005-09.
